American Cancer Society
Industry: Non-Profit, Health Organizations
Location: Filmed in Latham/Schenectady, NY | Gala hosted in Rochester, NY
American Cancer Society (ACS) hosts a national gala each year to raise money for cancer research and support nationally. This event, which changes locations each year, was held in Rochester, NY in 2024. ACS’ national office contacted the NY branch requesting media contacts and hired W Beyer Creative to film a survivor story with a local cancer survivor who could attest to the excellent experience provided by the American Cancer Society Rochester Hope Lodge, a facility that provides no cost stays for individuals visiting the region to receive cancer care at the area’s hospitals.
In addition to interviewing Barbara on-camera to capture her emotional story about her stay at the Hope Lodge, we captured supplemental footage of Barbara spending time with her daughter an with Barbara in her home.
Gala Fundraising
The video was showcased during the Coaches vs. Cancer Gala & Golf event to encourage attendees to give what they can and donate to the organization, which provides support to people fighting cancer. The video helped to raise tens of thousands of dollars in support for the cause.
